This book was such a delight to read! Rose and Marvina took me through it and stressed me out but eventually things worked out between the two with the help of an unexpected guest. Rose retired from her job and wanted to open a restaurant but there was only one problem, she needed help remembering an ingredient from her mom’s special seasoning. However ,there was only one way to get it and that was through her sister Marvina. The two sisters were in a decades long disagreement over $40 and when they got together, they were like oil and water. As the book progressed, the two women learned that they were stronger together and nothing was more important than sisterhood. What really made the book for me was what I’m going to call a guardian angel. The sisters took her in and she taught them many life lessons even though she was much younger. She taught them that time was not on their side and that they needed to get it together because all they had was each other. If you’re looking for a book that will have you smiling, warms your heart, and will have you craving a good home cooked meal. this is the one for you!! It’s truly a perfect book filled with lots of southern charm and forgiveness. Add this one to your list if you haven’t already!
