Not sure what Rae Lyse and her poetic writing self put in this book but I ate it up in two days! For The Night was the story of Venus and Anthony aka Nuney. When their worlds collided, I don’t think I was prepared for the outcome. However, it turned into something beautiful that neither one of them expected. The tension, angst, and chemistry between the two was off the charts. Anthony and Venus were both super affectionate and loving toward one another. He helped her unlearn all the toxic behavior that she was used of with her ex husband and she encouraged him to be a family man and to live instead of just surviving. Nuney had Venus gone okay?! She let that young boy put something in her life and never looked back. He did more for her than any of those so called grown men ever could. They truly brought the best out of each other!
